1. Information We Collect

When you use Classmate Pro, the following information is processed:

Account information

Your name, mobile number, and password, used to create and sign in to your account.

Student and guardian information

Student names, guardian names and contact details, and any other student or guardian information you choose to enter into the app. This information is entered and controlled by you (the tutor or coaching centre using the app) — see Data You Enter About Students and Guardians below.

Attendance and fee data

Attendance records and fee amounts, payment status, and receipts that you record in the app.

Reminders and notices

The content of notices and reminders you create to send to guardians.

Subscription information

Your current plan and subscription status, as provided to the app by Google Play Billing.

2. How We Store Your Information

Classmate Pro is built as an app that communicates with our own backend server over a secure connection. Your classes, students, guardians, attendance, fees, reminders, and settings are stored on our servers, not solely on your device.

On your device, the app stores your sign-in session token using the operating system's secure, encrypted storage (Android Keystore-backed secure storage) so you don't have to sign in every time you open the app.

3. WhatsApp Communication

When you send a notice or reminder over WhatsApp, Classmate Pro opens your own device's WhatsApp app with a pre-filled message, and you send it yourself from your own WhatsApp account. Classmate Pro does not integrate with the WhatsApp Business API, and the message content is not transmitted to WhatsApp or Meta by Classmate Pro itself.

Our servers do record broadcast details for your own records inside the app — such as the recipients and message content of notices you send — in the same way we store the rest of your class data described above.

4. Subscriptions and Google Play

Paid plans are purchased and billed through Google Play Billing. Payment details (such as your card information) are handled entirely by Google — Classmate Pro and The Spiders do not receive or store your payment card details. Google shares your subscription status (such as your current plan and whether it is active) with the app so it can unlock the correct plan limits.

5. What We Don't Collect

As of this writing, the Classmate Pro app:

• Does not request access to your contacts, camera, photos, location, or microphone.
• Does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• Does not use a crash-reporting service.
• Does not show advertisements.

The only Android permission the app requests is network (internet) access, needed to communicate with our servers.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

The only third-party service provider Classmate Pro relies on for processing is:

• Google Play Billing — processes payments for paid subscriptions, as described above.

Our own backend infrastructure (where your app data is stored) is operated by or on behalf of The Spiders.

7. Data You Enter About Students and Guardians

Classmate Pro is a tool for tutors and coaching centres. Student and guardian information in the app is entered by you, the app user, not collected by us directly from students or guardians. You are responsible for entering this information appropriately and for obtaining any consent from students or their guardians that may be required before adding their information to the app, in line with applicable law.

8. Data Retention

9. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and associated workspace data from within the app, under Settings > Delete Account. See our Delete Your Account page for full details.

10. Security Measures

We use encrypted connections between the app and our servers, and store your sign-in session on your device using the operating system's secure storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Rights and Choices

You can review and update most of your account, class, and student information directly in the app. You can request account deletion as described above. For any other request regarding your data, contact us using the details below.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
